Google Glass Course for Journalism

I am looking forward to Google Glass official release just so I can see the augmented reality apps. For those of you living in a cave, Google Glass is a wearable eyewear (glasses) with a heads up display (HUD) with most if not all the functionality (hardware and software) of your smartphone in a glasses. Probably one of the best implementation for Glass is with augmented reality because you can see it the way AR was meant to be viewed, in your field of vision.

So it seems journalism is a good application for Google glass which is why the University of Southern California is offering a course called Glass Journalism. This class teaches journalists how to use Google glass and augmented reality for better journalism. Student will build apps on Glass to enhance stories. Rather than being a late adopter, adopting a promising technology earlier on is a good idea.
